With their fifth studio album 'Arirang', BTS has achieved major success by topping significant weekly music charts both in South Korea and internationally.
According to information from Hanteo Chart, a site that tracks album sales, BTS's 'Arirang' conquered the weekly global and album charts for the period of March 23-29. Remarkably, the album climbed to the top within just three days of its release on March 20 and sustained its top ranking for two straight weeks.

Billboard, a well-known American music publication, reported on March 30 that 'Arirang' claimed the number one position on its main album chart, the 'Billboard 200', for the week of April 4. The album made a striking entry with 641,000 units sold, boasting the strongest weekly performance for a group album since unit tracking began in December 2014. Out of these, 532,000 were direct album purchases, either physical or digital, setting a new benchmark for weekly group album sales over the past decade.
BTS also triumphed on international music platforms. They topped Spotify's weekly charts (March 20-26), including 'Weekly Top Albums', 'Weekly Top Songs', and 'Weekly Top Artists'. The leading single 'SWIM' reached first place on the 'Weekly Top Songs Global', with all 14 tracks from the album landing within the top 30 spots.
'SWIM' held onto the number one spot on both Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Global' and Apple Music's 'Top 100 Global' for several days, from March 20-28 and March 23-29, respectively. The entire set of album tracks appeared on the latest chart updates from both platforms. The continued popularity of the album, even ten days post-release, highlights the global admiration and enthusiasm for BTS's music.
BTS is gearing up for their 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'', set to take place at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium in Gyeonggi Province on April 9, 11, and 12. Later in October, they plan to perform in stadiums across South America, including countries like Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil. Impressively, all 46 scheduled shows, which include stops in Goyang, North America, Europe, and Tokyo, Japan, have sold out swiftly, underscoring the band's immense ticket-selling power.
